Lai Lai Li Li Chi Tam Pong version..

As I was on my way back home in a car, I heard of this Old Town Kopitiam jingle: “Lat Tali Lat Tam Pong.” One of the traditional games that the older generation especially the 80’s babies or much elder age groups used to play since we don’t have PlayStation, Nitendo, or even Wii to entertain ourselves at that time.

I was trying to recall the whole song of my Lat Tali Lat Tam Pong version and it seems that mine was “Lai Lai Li Li Chi Tam Pong” And I continued the rest of the stanza . And to my horror, it is not as poetical as it seems to be. Let me share with you my version:

So corrupted! I think its Super Weird and funny at the same time!!! My version has all of the immoral values! Worst still, I was singing it when I was at the tender age of what, 6?? Who ever thought me this, confirmed polluted my innocent brain and I realized it after more then 15 years… -_-

Now tell me peeps, would you mind sharing me your version of “Lat Tali Lat Tam Pong” or even “Lai Lai Li Li Chi Tam Pong”? Cuz I really and want to hope that there are more corrupted version than mine. Please?? *innocent face.

Happy 1 Year Anniversary to me. :) I survived working at a resort situated up on the hill, 45 minutes drive away from KL. 1 year, so fast.

The weather especially today, very misty and chilly reminds me of the place that I was, ten thousand six hundred over kilometers away. That was like 1.5 years ago? Memories still fresh. As I was curling under my warm comforter last night, I remembered the clean, well arranged hostel room that comes with the heater, full bedroom set and sparking clean bathroom. Wished I was back to that room at Atlantic Point…

It's gonna be a year soon in 5 days time. Time do passes by in a blink of an eye.. I've been happy, been pissed, cried like a little girl, feeling lost, unwell until the extend I was sleeping- lying on my bed for 2 days-feeling totally lethargic and helpless. Thank goodness family and close friends were by my side... I've make new friends, seen and heard of many wanted & unwanted incidents.. This 1 year journey taught me lotsa things...

Living life is indeed like a rainbow colour....Red when ur angry, Orange when you feel the warmth of people around you, Yellow when you feel sour, Green when you're fresh or having the direction to move on, Blue when you feel calm and peaceful cuz it reminds me of the clear blue sky and the beaches with calm waves hitting the rocks, Indigo when my sense of intuition is hinting to me which is right & wrong..Purple as I heart doing things I love, at times too random. :P cuz it's also my favourite colour.

For the meantime, moi needs do lotsa thinking for the time being.......

This thought just strike me...why are we created differently? Why some of us love each other, hate the other, utter harsh words, sweet words.. backstab or even gossip behind our backs?
I would say this in a simple sentence: 'Colours of Life' . Think. it would be dull if we expect every single thing to be good, nice, and perfect rite? and that's why we are created differently too, with different characters, personality, idea, thinking...

I'm so thankful that I have a bunch of close friends that i can rely on...
Oh well, every1 does. jab their mobile numbers on your phone, you'll instantly feel warm at heart when you hear the familiar 'hello' at the other end of the line..or drop them an sms of FB msg or an email..

Wow! It’s been like 3 months plus since I last updated my post! And it was in UK. What a pity…I missed that place very much. But life needs to move on. I do know some of you dropped by to ‘check’ weather I’ve updated. Luckily my stats counter is still working. –phew!- Anyway, thanks for dropping by fellas. Really, really appreciate it.

Where shall I begin??? Ok. I’m officially WORKING. Yes, work. Work like a mad. work work work.. D would always hear me jabbing and jabbing the keyboard and I could hear her clicking the mouse. LOL. Oh, I’m glad that D is here in the same department with me. *glee* A great friend. I’m not complaining..my job does has pros and cons. I do get some privileges, which others don’t get.*pats back =)

Not that I’ve never work before. But this job is different. It’s A fresh path and stepping-stone to gain more experience, know more people and expending my network. A field that once I dreamt of (5 years back.)

My working skills deteriorate as compared to previous working experience. I used to be quite bold, detailed and not-so-blur. Since staring this job, I’m the totally opposite Lydia that you know. Did a few minor mistakes here and there.. >_< But that’s going to change. Can’t act like a little innocent girl anymore… (but let me still be a little girl at heart OK!) All right, back to my job…. After working, I’ll head back to my room feeling tired after hard days of work. If I still have the energy, I’ll head to this place where basically all the grown ups are. (cuz I have no better place to go) I missed the yamcha session, the late night movies, and the chill out session back downtown. It’s like my nightlife has been strip off!! Grrr… Don’t even have the time to meet my buddies from hometown when they were in KL. Terrible friend I am. Don’t talk about dates. That subject totally fails at the moment.. -Sigh-

Christmas is just 4 days away…Xmas shopping is just so impossible now. And it will be my first Christmas celebration without family members around me.. cuz u know what?! I’m working……>.<

I'm so deprive for internet connection..in london now. Russell square accomodation to be precise. it's gonna be my last day here in London. need to pay 50p for internet connection for unlimited time. The shower is the worst ever..can't control the volume..like kena dera by air panas only. :S (At least the hostel here is much way better in Belfast!)

What to do...kita 6 orang di sini semua backpacking.. we are only allowed to carry one..ONE freaking luggage on Ryan Air.. Ryan Air is so mafan... If wanna check in luggage need to pay extra £20. O_o Advise for future travellers of Ryan Air, please be there to check in at least 2 hours earlier..They have at least 3 check points before you board into their plane...

I know my post this time is jumbled up. I really don't know what to write actually..I'll just update my status via FB IF i need to go CC.. hehehhe...kla..byebye for now. Paris tomorrow! :D

Summer ends in Liverpool

My title says it all. I'm going to miss this beautiful place very much. The windy & chilly weather, ladies waking proudly with their hair curlers, the Scouse language, late club hoppings, the crazy moments in the kitchen while cooking dinner for housemates, fish & chips and other foods that contribute in making me grow side ways..hahaha. it's my last day here. all those other beautiful experiences that I had would be kept in my memory forever. :)

student status had just been stripped off yesterday. Tomorrow's status would be a traveler. Will be away for 3 weeks to discover other parts of the world..

I'm going to "See the breathtaking scenery of Ireland, explore the busy city of London, Tuck into a picnic next to the Eiffel Tower, Breathe the clean air of the Swiss Alps, Explore the medieval city of Avignon, Soak up the sun on the French Riviera, Discover the cultural gems of Florence, Check out Rome and the Vatican City."

Beauty & The Beast.

Beauty & The Beast performance at the Empire Theater was superb! My heart & soul focuses from the beginning to the end of the play. The setting was so real, costumes were beautiful & bright, actor & actresses were pretty & charming, the orchestra blended well with the singers. I hummed the songs to myself. thinking about where is my beast?? Just that it's not the right time yet. hahaha.. It was the best play. Unfortunately no pictures were allowed to be taken while the performance was running. I can only imagine the whole beautiful scene to myself..

Class cancelled today.. At least I have some space to breathe.

Life is getting tougher and tougher. I'm worried I can't bear the level of stressfulness that I need to face. I know that everyone here started to worry. The word stress can be heard every single day. Reaching here to gain great experience in life is like stressing myself out, testing our mental strength. Education is like that i guessed unless you are one smart brainy genius ass that has no worries and problems at all in solving or attempting questions. Some couldn't take it and cried quietly in their own rooms. Mental torture. Few hours of sleep, the stack of assignmentsssss. Most major assignments due dates are all cramped within this month. I'm angry. angry at the way tutors mark their work. There's no standardization in marking our assignments. Yes, No STANDARDIZATION. each tutors have their own way of marking the papers. 'there's no right and wrong answers' they claimed. I know that at this level we must possess critical and analytical thinking in our work. But if we argue with scholars and the points supports other scholars & we adding in our own explanation, wouldn't it be good?? Apa lagi mereka mahu dari kita?? I felt that this course has too much of hybrid in many areas till we ourselves are still finding for answers. No wonder it's not called a 'professional job' just like doctors, engineers, and lawyers. Plus, I'm Angry at myself for not being at my best. I work hard but still could not achieve the expectation that i wanted..Am I setting my aims too high?? No. Am I being too paranoid? Strike at the punching bag a few times that i can't even feel the pain at all until i saw blood between my forth and tiny finger that i stop. Telling myself that it will heal by itself just like the experience that I'm facing now. Feel tired of studying. Study, I need to sit.. sit.. & sit which i don't like. Of course I do walk around in my room but it somehow restricted my freedom.hmmm..such a dilemma girl now.

Sometimes, it's hard to express my feelings to friends out here. I look strong outside but inside, it's like a tornado at times. Being considerate, I choose not to bugged them cause I know we are on the same boat, facing the same difficulties, & obstacles that we mush accomplish. I know some of you might be reading this but again, don't worry about me, not that I'm going to do stupid stuffs. I still love myself no matter what happens.

22 days left. I can make it. You too can make it. Let us lift our spirit & motivation high, be inspired by the song 'The world's greatest'. =)

100,000 new swine cases

THE number of people with swine flu in the UK DOUBLED last week to 100,000 cases.

There are now 840 people in hospital with the virus and 63 in intensive care.

The new data comes as a website and telephone helpline service for victims of swine flu were launched today.

Within just minutes of the website going live it was flooded by millions of worried Brits - causing it to crash.

Visitors trying to get an online diagnosis were given the message: "The Service is currently very busy and cannot deal with your request at this time. Please try again in a little while."

Most of those hospitalised are aged 16 to 64, with 435 cases, followed by the under-fives, with 169 cases.

Among those aged over 65, 149 people are in hospital and there are 87 cases among young people aged five to 15.

Tower Hamlets in East London continues to have the highest number of GP consultations in the UK for people with flu-like illness.

It is seeing 792 consultations per 100,000 people, followed by Islington in North London with 488 consultations per 100,000.

Other badly affected parts of England include Greenwich, South East London, Leicester, and Telford & Wrekin, Shropshire.

The Government's National Flu Pandemic Service for England is being staffed by more than 1,500 call centre staff, with the option of recruiting 500 more.

The initial 1,500 will be capable of more than 200,000 calls a day — or more than one million calls a week.

People can also fill out a questionnaire online to receive a diagnosis of swine flu.

They supply their name, address and date of birth either online or to a call centre member of staff before receiving a code.

A "flu friend" can then use the code to pick up the antiviral Tamiflu from a collection point on the patient's behalf, using a form of identification from the patient.

More serious cases such as pregnant women, people with health conditions and very young children will still be referred to GPs.

The free phone number will be up and running for 15 hours a day initially but it could become a 24-hour service if required.

Summer Sales are everywhere! Flip flip flip, grab grab grab & try try try. Items were on bargains and reduced price from 50% - 70%. Girls obviously love this moment. Some branded items were at low-priced that you can’t get it back home in Malaysia although they have sales for those items.

Today is the most exceptional day. Maniac I would say. I did the craziest affair just to experience UK shopping. The thing is, not because of spending much on the discounted items but waking up wee hours in the morning just for shopping. Let me enlighten you on my short story today.

3.45am : Woke up

3.50am: Wash face, brush teeth, & layered my clothes (the wind was 22mph, temperature 15 degrees Celsius. Cold cold..)

4.00am: Begin walking to Liverpool city center.

4.15am: Reach our destination (NEXT)

4.20am: Queue up

5.00am: Doors open, shopaholics barged in. (yes, you’re seeing the time right! Stop blinking; it’s not a typo error. Hahahaha…)

Walk & walk, flip here and there, grab a few stuffs went to the top floors, head back downstairs, flip & try again. Gotten perfumes, tops, vest, & clutch.

7.00am: Queuing to make payment.

7.10am: Making the card transaction. Wait a few seconds. Done!

Walking back home.

7.30am: Reach home safely.

Speechless?! Hahaha.. I can't believe it either :P

Oh, did I not mention that I went to Cheshire Oaks? Mostly are designer outlets. It’s another heaven place for the shopaholics. They have the high end shops like Lacoste, Burberry, Coast, Ralph Lauren, GAP. Etc.. Heee… Successfully purchase some items there too. Also at low low prices. Oh yes, DIESEL here is very expensive. The UK sees it as a branded item but we, Malaysian treat it as a caplang brand. Ahhaha..

Life journey for a month

Do I miss home?! err...Not really. pheww.. erm maybe 20% only i guessed. luckily there's such technology like Skype for me to keep in touch with my family back home... :D

I'm still feeling great, enjoying my stay here. Gila housemates that are very much entertaining when we gather in the common room. hahaha.. Classmates mostly are from my previous classmates during my advanced days and combination of other courses such as advertising, broadcasting, journalism. They are great people.. *wink wink.

Been cooking at home most of the time. only dined at the local fish and chips restaurant- 'lobster pot' twice-->personally I think that it's quite thrifty though the portion is big, KFC once and Subway, i think 4 times. It's cheaper here compared to other fast food outlets such as McD, Burger King, & KFC. Oh yea, you can't get the tasty hot and spicy chicken in any of the KFC outlets here. That's one compliment for M'sia huh?? hehehhe...

The journey of buying groceries were more like a torturing memorable one. Multiple groceries bags on both hands cuz some of the goods were quite cheap. 45 minutes walk. Really crazy to think of it. All of us were too stingy to take a cab back so we walk!

17 hours fight. popping ears, 3 hours of sleep, uncomfortable plane seat, 1 pound coin got jammed at the Manchester airport luggage trolley, 1 hour bus journey to Liverpool. Finally arrived Atlantic Point safe and sound. Tired but it was all worth the journey. =)

Shopping is a heaven here. Everything is a walking distance away. The people. hahaha..some guys are semi naked walking around, women with low cut tops, & the elderly would take their dogs for a walk. You don't wanna know what I can see opposite from my window everyday =D

It's a total brand new world. "We are born at the wrong side of the world." That's what my fellow housemate Emily said. well, I totally agree with her.

There's more to blog about but I seriously need my beauty sleep now. hehehe..will update soon ya. stay tune.

Buddies trip part 1

From Tuesday evening till Saturday morning my schedule was fully devoted to a few selected people from Taiping. My 2 besties, Jessy & Shirley. So glad that both of them finally came over after months of arrangement, at last 3 of us were available to meet. Took them 6 hours to travel from Taiping to Klang by public transportation. Fetch them from the Teluk Gadong train station. Spent 2 days at KL shopping & eating at Gardens, Bangsar, the Curve. Not much time spent in Klang though except on Wednesday morning BakKut Teh and Thursday after midnight supper at Asoka.

Then we waited for Michelle to arrive from uni and headed to Bangsar for more shopping. The boutiques were quite a disappointment accept for Cat Whiskers

Snack, Klang & famous Bak Kut Teh

Remember I mentioned about Hamamatsu?? Yes, it's a place in Japan. There's a specialty. So special that it makes me salivate every time i think of it.hahaha.... yum yum.. Not sake, not sushi, but a snack.

Well, I've been receiving this special gift yearly from that place since 4 years ago & I super love it. My favourite snack. A few sticks of long Crispy golden pastry, packed perfectly in a red rectangular coloured box. It's called 'Unagi Pie'. Looks similar with the ones which you can purchase in selected pastry shops. The one sold is much more bigger, wider and rather coarse. But this particular one, perfect size (fit just right into my handbag) smooth, not too sweet, crispy. After 2 weeks, I'm left with one packet! hahaha..Gonna wait till next year for another supply then.

It's going to be a year in a few days time since I've shifted to Bandar DiRaja. What do they have to offer for a kampung girl like me??hahaha...(kampung kononnye~)

The obvious place is the biggest Jusco in Southeast Asia, AEON Bukit Tinggi Shopping Center which is just 10 minutes drive away from my current house. Shopping mall. Klang is pretty much like Ipoh, but I think it's slightly bigger than Ipoh.

One particular point that I'm not fancy of this place is the cleanliness. urgh, clogged drains (MPK you better do something about this) and stray dogs! (yes, MPK please...) gosh, my eyes sores every time i see abandon dogs with somewhat deceases straying around and at times chasing & sniffing people.

I even saw with my bare eyes, drivers and passengers throwing rubbish out from their vehicles. Tissues, plastic bags, food wrappers & even freaking diapers!!! (can faint!) I don't even cross by any KLian doing this (Maybe just coincidence). How are we going to keep our city clean people if we do not change our attitudes and mindset? Stop complaining and start practice good moral values and be a civilize citizen. Still stuck up and ignore advises will not make us go anywhere. It's easy for us to complain but is it really tough to practice healthy habits?

All right, let me be optimistic ya. Switch channel. -----> FOOD. Yup, every one's favourite. Klang is famous for BAK KUT TEH. Trust me, you won't get disappointed trying the Bak Kut Teh here. All the shops that I've been so far, really did not let me down.

The recommended place for the famous BKT is situated at Taman Rashna. Jo contacted me & decided to eat BKT on Sunday morning with his mom and housemates (Thank goodness I was prepared, went for my usual church service the night before). Since Restoran Teluk Pulai Bak Kut Teh was highly recommended, we decided to try it out. Honestly, it was my first time there & I heard from my fellow local friends & even Not locals mentioned that this is the best BKT.

We were luckily enough to grab a seat since it's always packed with customers everyday. After making our order, within few minutes a pot of Chinese tea is served followed by a plate of white rice each. Then a big clay pot of BKT served for 5 arrived. True enough, it was really tasty. The herbs and spices for the soup blended so well till we kept on refilling the soup. Not to forget, the meat was tender too. Luckily I could chew properly since I had my braces. hahaha...

Customers were filling up the place pretty fast and I decided to packed BKT back home for my dad's lunch before we head to BBT Jusco. I mean why not since it tasted so delicious & I'm sure dad enjoyed his lunch(which is SO TRUE =))

How I wish at this moment I could split myself into 5 Lydias..

I'm so busy with work. To add in more spices, Don't remind me of the 'deadlines' that we(u know who you are guys) need to accomplish. argh. time..time..so precious. I'm left with just a week to end my part-time job. At least, i can escape by not facing the horrendous traffic jam every morning and evening.

emoness, frustrations, embarresment.it's really been a roller coaster ride for me in the month of April especially. So many events that I could-never-think-of-that-i'm-capable-of-doing happened. Had quite a number of first hands-on experienced. What's past will remain the past. I'm surely gonna remember this.

Did a few window shopping. Went to the goldsmith to get my necklace fixed. It snapped 3 weeks ago. 1st time in 2 years got separated from my favorite necklace. haha..something caught my eyes. Lovely, precious, white-gold assesories in my must have list. Discussed with mom. She said OK. :) I vowed to get that shiny pair of earrings with my first paycheck. Got to have it. At least a tangible item worth investing for a longggg time rite?? RIte?? pls say Yes...

hmph..no more ideas or topic to write anymore..oh ya, my chocolate chips. I did the 1st batch. Quite satisfied with it. thanks for the feedback guyss....will improve on the 2nd batch which will be & hopefully to be coming out this month. love baking. :)

Time has been eating me up Slowly...very slowly. EVEN on The first day of the weekday was quite bored for me.. I knew that I can't stand staying at home. Walking up and down, hide myself in my own room. Luckily there's WiFi connection that can be access Only from my bedroom. hahaha..don't ask me why. I've tried taking lappy to the study room with high hopes i can access it there but it couldn't work. SO weird rite??!! hmph. So tired of facing my lappy everyday. I need to, and I have to...the e-learning now requires 6 freaking hours! yerr........I. don't. like. it.

Tried to fill my time by continuing watching Gossip Girl Season 2. Basically, I'm feeling unproductive, useless, getting dumber every single minute.. hahaha... Thought of baking chocolate chip cookies or even cupcakes but.. but.. I'm just lazy to do it this week.... :(
Maybe i' do it next week. :) I'll bake extra, extra for some people to eat! hahahahaha....Who wants the extra? lolz.

Went out karaoke & shopping with by close buddies. my singing kaki. ahahah..And I bought a LBD & a bag again. Collection. I really do have a thing for dresses & bags & singing.. heart every one of them very much. :D

Hmmm.. i'm starting to think about tomorrow's activity, the day after tmrw and the day after after tmrw.

Packing sucks. Yes, I'm shifting to a new much more better comfortable house. This house currently suck.Suck suck Suckyyyy!!! had been giving us problems few months ago. pity mom. pity me. we are nt happyy..BUT eventually, feeling happy soon.haha.

So glad that i'm leaving end of the week. Gonna see myself fully armed with mops,brooms, a few pails of water,detergents.putting up my shorts and tees, hair tied up in ponytail.like a maid.lolz.

And my new room. still thinking on how to rearrange my furnitures-dressing table, bed, side table, etc.There would be mirrors glued to the wardrobe. then i can see myself.play dress-ups.wheee.

10th March. Sounds familiar?! No? hurm. Never mind, I'll explain it here anyway.

2 weeks ago, Just celebrated my 22nd birthday with a few close friends of mind in OneU.
Plus, it was a really significant day for a few of us as we embarked our journey to a whole new education level (attending our 1st e-learning class, preparing for our UK degree program) plus i was not feeling very well (still having my sexy voice :P) and I even had to force myself to wake-up early from bed.

Right after class, we headed to Itaniannies for a simple celebration. Jo insisted by announcing to the waiter that it was my birthday and requested for a birthday cake from them. So yes, I got a free small birthday-cake-looks-like-a-pudding-bread-cake. (yep,it's free! *hint *hint) Overall the food was good, especially the parmesan crusted fish which is the house specialty that I ordered.

It was the set lunch menu, meant to be consume for a person which includes Minestrone soup for appetizer, coffee or ice lemon tea, and a main course. but to me it was a big portion. I reconmend Small eaters like me to share their meals because I ended up eating only half of my dish. >_< Ok pictures time....

-oven baked fish fillet. Served over fried zucchini and red onion ribbons with white capers sauce-

-Romano crusted chicken served with spaghetti, marinara sauce, and parmesan & mozzarella cheeses- -Spaghetti lightly tossed with portabella mushrooms,beef bits and chunky tuna-

-Shiitake mushrooms sauteed with chili chicken tossed with cherry tomatoes & rocket lettuce- -angel hair pasta with chopped tomatoes and sauteed with garlic in a light tomato basil-sauce-

Then after lunch, we headed straight for Watchman.

& a day before that, dinner at Bukit Tinggi Jusco's Sakae Sushi with parents.

Well, according to the chinese tradition, if you are celebrating your birthday, you must Have noodles. Why? Noodles are made to be long rite? so it seems that by having noodles, it will bring you long life. Hence, mom insisted I ordered a noodle dish since she's not cooking for my bday this time. So urm, of all the noodle dishes, Yaki soba was my 1st choice.

Saya sungguh malang sekali..

First time in my entire 21 years of life, I didn't really celebrated Christmas. Although I was at church during Christmas eve, it was different. Strange.
Reason? No familiar faces can be seen around the church compound. I felt that the choir suck. No intervals. Just normal. Thought that I could hear some good harmonious melodies. But, all I could hear was high pitch-out of tune people singing. I'm not condemning, but that was what i heard. My Christmas cd collection by The Platters sounds wayyyy better..(even mummy thinks the same way.)

So caught up with my thesis, stayed up till 6 in the morning. Is it a last minute thingy? I don't think so..Cuz i felt i need to add more points in there...My pasal la..

No pictures on Christmas day, emoness. sigh. I miss my high school buddies. They understand me more...crap.

& I just came back today after spending 5 days at grandparents place, just to find out that my beloved car died on me. Couldn't start. I knew this would happen when I was on the way back home. Ran out of Battery..

The bridge experience

I didn’t manage to meet my bro last month but however, he pit stop in Port Klang for only 6 hours last week. My family was really glad to meet him. Poor little bro, looked thin and tired but he has a more built up body!

This time, he gave us a short tour on the highest deck of the ship which is located at level six. We climb up to that level which is also called the bridge. It is where the captain and his assistant would monitor and control the whole ship.

The Book discovery

It was last Saturday. My group had to do some research and findings for our thesis. What other alternatives besides researching thought the net??

The library of course. To be exact, the national library.

It was my first time stepping into the huge building after stayi

ng in KL for almost 4 years. If it was not because of thesis, I think up to date, I wouldn’t have stepped into the library.

Went straight to the counter, paid a total of RM2.50 for proc

essing fee and registration fee and Viola! A national library member for 3 years!!! How cheap is that???

As I was browsing through a few aviation magazines (part of my thesis topic), I saw a very very familiar book which was two shelves away.

The side cover was Blue coated, about half an inch wide. I t

ook it out gently and to my surprise……

It has been 4 years since the last time I flipped it. I owned a copy but it was beyond my wildest thoughts that, the particular book could end up in the national library! Come to

think of it, it’s kind of cool to have your book in the national library. Plus, to make it sweeter and nostalgic…I was the editor for that year. Felt ecstatic though.

Part 2 Sem 4

Well, well, I'm back. hahhaa. Back from relaxing, and movies, pampering and entertaining myself :P
Oh, talking bout movies, you must watch Mama Mia! It got me singing, laughing and tapping to the rhythm of ABBA's classic songs. Love it. Those who are into musical movies, this should be in your list.

It has been the second week of college (and it's my FINAL semester, Yey!) the projects, and group discussions AND thesis have been pouring in like mad. Not so the heavy loaded madness. It's just at the primary level and it's going to get tougher. Guess that it might be coming soon around next month perhaps.

So, erm.. These were what I was up to during the final sem break. I'll Let the pictures do the explaining yea.

Attended 2 weddings in a day! It was really a busy busy Saturday with full of appointments. Don't want to appear for 2 weddings ever in the coming future. My stomach was so so so loaded with yummy, mouth watering delicacies. Then, need to rush to meet up with old friends in Siang Malam. Spent 2 nights in Taiping. A night in the hotel and another night, slept over in one of my girlfriend's house, Shirley. Chatted till the wee hours in the morning..hahaha..so many catch-ups to do, so many people to meet... Thanks to Shirley for the hospitality, Jessy for the transportation, Rachel and Amanda for meeting up for the late yam cha session.

One and the half weeks of holiday. What I've been up to???

Watching movies:

Money not Enough (It's in Mandarin and Hokkien. An enjoyable film to laugh your heads off and to make you cry. A few lessons to learn from this movie.)

Death Race (Awesome solid cars. Action packed. Brutal. Suspense. Guaranteed won't make you fall asleep especially if you're a big car fan and an action-packed movie buff)

Babylon A.D (I don't really understand the storyline, or what the director is trying to send the message.)

Gossip Girl

I've finished Season 1 and the first 2 episodes of Season 2. (Cuz I only have those 2 episodes with me). This series makes me go ' I want more!!!' The clothes, glamour and the hunks- Dan Humphrey (played by Penn Badgley) and Nate Archibald (played by Chace Crawford) Hahaha.. only remains in my imagination. This series is certainly my fav (after One Tree Hill of course.)

Eason Chan was in my college for his new album promo 2 weeks ago. I'm not a big fan of him, but since he was in college and admission is free for TARCians, I decided to check it out for awhile.

The event suppose to start at 7pm. As expected, knowing celebrities, he appeared one and the half hour late.....

-A simple mini stage was built in the sport complex-

After that song, I dashed out from the venue cuz the concert was too draggy and I had to rush for an appointment.

Next, the amazing concert I attended in Plenary Theater, KLCC yesterday. 'Night of the Keys' by Roland Asia Pacific showcases organ, piano, accordion and the harpsichord.

I got 10 free tickets with my name written on each invitation card! :) It was my second time here, the first concert, the musicians were from Japan. Similar concept. Jazz and classical.

So this time, a combination from 3 Malaysian, a French and Japanese. It was remarkable. Really blown my head away especially the digital accordion played by Ludovic Beier. His fingers work super fast!

Then the piece, Nola (Felix Arndt) played by Ryoki Yamaguchi on the organ. So soothing and inspiring!

And this lady from Malaysia, Lynn Kang, pursuing her MA in Music at the Royal College of Music in London. Her recital on the piano was amazing, a piece by Chopin: Andante Spianato und Grande Polonaise OP.22. The piece was so long.. I think it took approximately 15minutes to finish it.

It ended with an upbeat samba duet by Ryoki Yamaguchi on the organ and Ludovic Beier with his digital accordion, in which left the whole audience asking for an encore. They did not disappoint the audiences and went on performing 3 more songs for us. Finally it ended at 10.30pm.

My 2 hours 30 minutes was worth it!

Batman returns- in my assignment.

Yup, read my title.. It's a group assignment. We have to rent Batman costume for our press releases photos and Video PSA. I would like to thank the Bat mans' - My 2 best guys friends, Ah Liew and Ah Sia for helping us wearing the soaked wet batman costume which we had to eventually dried them up on my car engine while it was running hot.. (I know it's disgusting but you guys did so well. Me very happy..) and the helpers and the keh le fehs for the PR photos. THank you. Thankyou. Thank You.

We had to do it twice cuz our lecturer commented that the 2nd PR photo was not PR enough. but anyway, we did had lots of fun. Laughing basically for both nights.

Batman : The Dark Knight was super Awesome!

Full of suspense, Action. Great story line. Hot, hot actors and the car! Lamborghini Murcielago LP640. Fuhhyoohh.. I don’t even care bout the Bat mobile Bruce Wayne uses.

Gosh, my heart was torn into pieces when the silver Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 smashed against the van. How the director could have the heart to crash that beauty against the van???!!!

Derma to me la..I would certainly take pretty good care on the sleek car. Not a single scratch will lay their hands on it. :)

Now, the crook in the movie – The Joker.

Honestly, 1st time I saw the Joker appeared, the 1^st image came into my mind was Chucky. (That little doll that kill people without mercy.) Don’t ask me why, it just came into my mind just.like.that. haa..

And normally….

I will anticipate all baddies will die in the movie. Whether being shot/slash/stabbed/ pushed over a tall building, drop and run over by a huge truck. (0_0…)

But for the Joker, he survives la…Batman had the chance to finish him off but he did not.

Oh, and there were rumours. Rumours that Heath Ledger would get an Oscar for the best actor in support of his role as the Joker. He ought to receive the award. He’s just the sickest, wacky talented-villain-character. Just go watch for yourself. You’ll understand what I’m saying.

No, I don’t worship movie characters or even celebrities by plastering their posters or getting their merchandises, decorate it all over my room or car. It’s just this movie is worth watching.

Assignment & short trip to FireFly Park.

2 weeks ago.....

yeah, we were at kuala selangor for assignment purposes.

the journey took us approximately 1hour & 45 minutes drive just to conduct an interview with the owner of the park. (& to experienced the beauty witnessing the formation of fireflies on trees :) )

-Mr.Tortoise at the firefly park.-

We left college at 4.4pm.

-Mmbeeekkkk...Me shiny black goat crossing the road. Mmmbbbeekk...-

Since, the interview is schedule at 8.30pm, we took the opportunity to savour the famous K.Selangor seafood.

-from top left: crunchy fried squid, mantis shrimp with dried chilies, & steamed shells with special sauce.All RM12 per dish! -

-Coconuts for both of us. only RM3.50! per coconut-

-NOoooo..I'm separated from my shell! -

I Thought that particular seafood can't be eaten. (Cuz it has thorns). Does NOT look mouth watery at all. you need to prey open the meat by using a toothpick. But after chewing the 1st bite, It wasn't that bad as I imagined.

-Cheap seafood. worth every cents.-

It was time for us to get back to the park.

Mr.Jafar, the owner of the park was really friendly. He provided us with relevant & sufficient information.

We mostly spoke in bahasa melayu.

For the 1st time, I felt awkward conversing in bahasa. hahaha... sudah berkarat la.

-thanks to the owner, we only paid for 4 tickets.-

In order to see the fireflies, we had to hop onto an environmental friendly boat that could fit up to 8 person per boat. Why I said environmental friendly? Cuz they use electrical motors to run the boat instead of using diesels.

No fireflies pictures. Cuz I had a lousy digital camera. Plus we were not allowed to use flash to capture pics. (How i wish i owned a SLR...)

Oh, & i managed to grab a firefly with my bare hands! hehe..Of cuz need to set it free later. It's evil when some people capture them & put it in a bottle.

Kuala Selangor FireFly Park is situated at Bukit Belimbing. This park is privately owned. They have chalets and restaurant around the resort. Not the same place like the TNB advertisement you saw. That's government owned.

It was my 1st time experiencing the peaceful nature here. Honestly, it's ideal to those enjoy exploring mother's nature.

& those who wanna 'pat toh' here. hehehe.. let me put it this way, it's a romantic place. You can't see anything but the blinking lights from the fireflies butts on the trees. haha.

It was just a normal smooth drive to the city.
No traffic jams.
No hassle.

Everything was fine.
It was my 1st.
1st time experienced it in the city.
And I came back home safely.
After being out for 7 hours.
Even while I was back in the small town, I took it seriously.
Whenever I'm out, I'll make sure that it's with me.

10th June 2008, Tuesday.

Took Sky Bus from KL Sentral to LCCT around 12.30pm. Reached at 1.45pm. Super early. Waited for Chen Ye and Chun Yee to arrived. Only 3 out of 7 in the group took the earlier flight because the other 4 started their journey from Taiping. I've never even seen both Ah Ye & Chun Yee before. hahaha...(the feeling was like going on a holiday with 2 strangers but both of them really proved me wrong!)

We had a really good morning exercise. Really good. it was f-a-r. walked from the hotel to the Jetty. With big luggages. Dragging and carrying. sweating. We could have taken path that passed through China Town. the locals looking at us strangely. They must be thinking that we lost our way...

It was our last day in Redang. All of us woke up late. Really enjoyed to the max playing game cards: 'heart attack' in our room till 3.30am.

Obviously we FAILed! HAHAHA....

Redang is best holiday trip for me this year . FUN FUN FUN! :)
I'll do it again. In fact, me, Jessy, Erin & Amanda are planning to have a yearly holiday together! :)

1st day - Kuala Terengganu

Here I am in the midst of holidaying...

Stuck in the Cyber Cafe while waiting for another group to arrive from the airport.

It was my 1st time boarding a plane. And guess what??!!

We sat the same plane with the whole Selangor football team. :) Asst. coach was sitting beside me. yak since the plane started to take off till the plane landed. Hahahha.... 50mins of football topic. (I seriously don't fancy football at all. Luckily I know bits about the game here and there.)
They are playing a match tomorrow against the home players-Terengganu. The FA Cup I think. Or was it the Malaysian Cup or FAM cup??? Hahahha...dunno ler...(That shows how bad I am at football) -__-" But I wished them all the best though.

Nothing much here in Kuala Terengganu. Boring.... Luckily we manage to find a cyber cafe here to kill time. Just shops. Small shops. Not like the humongous one that you can find in KL. And narrow streets. Plenty of banks here. They event have Vincci which beats the hell out of Taiping town..

As a matter of fact, it's much more smaller than Taiping.
Supermarkets that you could find here: The Store, Billion.full stop. It reminds me of Parit Buntar actually. if you know where is it. A small town almost at the border of Penang and 45 minutes drive from Taiping.

Anyway, I'm gonna stop here. Will continue with more spicy stories once I land back in KL.

Leaving Bandar Warisan

Laziness syndrome had struck me hard for the past month drawing me further from updating my blog. I wished that I have a secretary to write-up on what i'm going to say.sigh.

Ok, partially, I've been feeding myself with a list of English, Cantonese and Korean drama series.

Besides, a few short points on what I've up to:

A) Ended my industrial training
b) joined an outing with my high school buddies to Penang,
c) had a small farewell to a friend leaving to the UK,
d) College started.. T_T

the saddest of all---> leaving Bandar Warisan, my hometown.

Yes, I've shifted. To Bandar DiRaja. I'm sorry to drop a bomb to all of my close friends especially during the last minute. (Though I've informed that I have something to tell them.) They were obviously shocked to hear the news. I mean, they did not expected this. Meet up with Jessy, Rachel, Bin, Amanda & Cheng Yip in Siang Malam the night before I left. Too bad Erin couldn't joined us as she was down with food poisoning. And to my surprise, it was pure coincidence that I meet someone there. Someone that I had feelings for a long time and nobody knows it. A secretive girl I am. haha..

Anyway, wanna wish thank you to my uncle and aunt, Jessy and 3 young strong guys whom were my bro's friends that came, helped us moved our huge furnitures, 60 plus different size boxes, electrical appliances, fragile glassware, kitchen utensils & a few other not so-important junks up to the 30-foot lorry.

Well, at least I'm closed with my parents. That's a good thing rite? ahaha...
Family is important but let us discard the naggings (is there such word?) that I get from them. I think many us do experience it with our mom & dad.

Blame me for not bringing my camera back. Left my precious one back in college. Blog is not exciting anymore.. yer~

Worst of all, my current home is not equipped with an internet connection-yet. Well, I guessed that it's normal for our telecommunication company to act that way. Many complaints have been made but still they act selamba nia..

I'm still feeling a little shock of what just happened 2 hours ago...

Escaped being hit by a black idiotic car driver that appeared from my left hand corner out of no where...Could felt that my heart was beating 3 times faster than normal. I was seriously terrified. Felt like a I was going to D.I.E.

15 minutes later, another car in front of me freaking applied the emergency breaks. I swrill to my right. Again I was lucky.

What is wrong with the roads that I'm travelling today???????

Are they road bullies or what??

Please....I still want to live my life... Though I've almost spent quarter of my life experiencing bitter/harsh/cheerful/cloud nine, etc. moments, but there are many more events that I need to go through...

I'm still strong(I guess). Haven't shed tears. (yet)

Mmmm...it's all over now, luckily I'm still here.
I thank God for that.

Just finished working on a big event in Mandarin Oriental.

Tired, really tired. All of us were like zombies walking & running up the stairs, hopping into the lifts & escalators with our walkies. Busy people. No time to drink water. Imagine that, & I heard someone fainted while setting up the hall. Luckily it wasn't me, or else my supervisor would strangle me. She'd warned me earlier that I better not faint while halfway working cause we don't have enough main manpower to overlook on certain areas. Working very very hard for the past 5 days. Average sleep of 4-5 hours.urgh.

OH, And to top things up, for the 1st time, YESSS the 1st time, I had eye bags!! dark circles, me looking like a panda.. though pandas are cute. but not cute for me at all......huhuhu..

How did I overcome the dark circles?? Easy!

My boss treated me at the Japanese restaurant-Wasabi Bistro. splendid! Once I flip the menu, it was so clear I could not afford to fork out that much of money just to spend on food..(unless I earn loads of money. hahaha) So umm.. shyly I asked:

Me: Err... company is paying for this meal??
Boss: Put it this way, just choose anything from the menu that you can't afford to pay with your own money when you dine out.
Me: OH.. ok.

So apa tunggu lagi???? This is the chance! Obviously, took the golden opportunity since my boss mention. I was totally on cloud nine! No other people would offer me that way. For me, all hard work need to be rewarded with something that is equivalent on what we are working for right??? I browsed through the menu carefully and after 5 minutes, I finally placed my order, a plate of soft shell crab & seafood teppanyaki. Meleleh air liur.... Satisfaction! *no mentioning about the price here*

Actually wanted to keep it short, but I kept on typing n typing...hahaha..just like a grandmother-cheong hei. I stop here. Thanks for taking your time reading. =)

KL Traffic & trash

Imagine every weekday, in the morning, you see this...

And after work, you see this..

Yup.. both pictures look almost alike.. Same situation I'm are facing every day. You'll see sun rise & sun set. All take place during the KL T-R-A-F-F-I-C jam peak hours..

I would look at car registration numbers, play with the figures in my mind--- sum up/abstract/multiply/divide the numbers, check whether the numbers look familiar to me.

Glance upon the drivers beside me, (most are working adults, either with their spouse, colleague or alone.)

Aimed at awesome shiny luxury cars that makes me go 'waaaaahh' & trying to take a short glimpse on the driver..(I'm so sampat..heheh)

Everyday, similar condition. Almost everyday, accident's on my right lane, left lane, & even the Middle lane!

Sienz.. I wonder when this long jam will stop..

Errrr...I don't think so that will happen.

Cigarettes butts & mini rubbish flying off from the vehicle windows. Can't they wait till they stop at the next destination to get rid of it at Proper rubbish bins???!!! Is it too hard to practise such simple gesture?

You must have heard people complaining "Aiya, Malaysia very dirrtyy..don't stay here lah, stay overseas better..."

Bah. Can you please reflect those sentences you've just said out? If you contribute by not throwing rubbish everywhere, & people around you realize it & practise your habit, definitely this country would be a cleaner place to stay.

If you can't find a rubbish bin, just stuff it in your pocket for the meantime. Don't litter on the road or trying to add additional 'decoration' on the flower pots.

Happy, down, irritated, stress, headache, etc.etc..------>EMO.

We had a small gathering in the office today at about 5pm because the whole office was having a short Birthday celebration for employees born in the month of March & I was one of them...*Hee...*

They custom made a chocolate cheese cake with chocolate chips topping on it from Secret Recipe due to the demand from the 4 Birthday members who fancied cheese cake and chocolate cake.

& Viola! our mrs. boss combined it to be a chocolate cheese cake. Though I don't really fancy chocolate cakes, but it tasted really good..(although I realy love baking chocolate cake)

Anyway, that was not the purpose I blog.....Just read the conversation below:

For me, if I feel emo, I just listen to my lappy songs or log into imeem, find whatever songs that I feel like listening or call my friend & have a long long chat on the phone.. Hahaha..

Now I'm wondering, what do you do when you feel emo??? Hmmmmm.....

No point asking my bro, he will definitely ignore me at this time..

Ehem…Well this is an outdated post. An event I was involved 2 weeks ago.

MALAYSIAN RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP PRIZE GIVING & DINNER
Venue: Dewan Merak Kayangan, Jalan Semarak, KL
Date: 16th March 2008
Time: 8pm-11pm

Set up (15-16th March 2008, 6pm-1.15am)

During the set up, AhSia stumbled upon a wine glass that has a lip stick stain on it. Straightaway, he took my camera & took a shot of it. Yeah, you heard me right, a red lip stick stain. The venue mention that they ‘clean & washed’ all the silverware. (YEA RIGHT!) The other silverwares were the same. There were brownish stains, not-so-shiny elements which I don't even bother to know what was that. (Can vomit sial...) If you happen to step into a chinese restaurant, you hardy see this kind of situation. BElieve meeee.......

-The horrible lip stick stain-

As an event planner, each tiny bitsy micro element we need to be aware of. Our eyes kononnya need to be as sharp as an eagle’s eye laaa.

Urgh, forget bout those disgusting stuffs I mention just now.

ANYWAY…..

-Karamjit Singh was one of the award recipients that night. He is a super tall guy. If I stand beside him, I'm only at par with his Elbow.. :P

-Owh, Rashid Salleh was there! The silly or retarded fellow acted in Kopitiam. He was there reporting on behalf of ESPN. He’s so cute! Hahhahahaa… Bright big smile he has. (Drool..)

-As usual, I was in charged of Cueing the emcee and artist performing that night. Stayed backstage all the while, & only get the chance to move around when the emcee & singer start to do their job.

I'm coming back home after work..Finally!

Starting to miss the food, scenary, high school, friends (but all sudah menjelajah jauh..), driving around town & lake gardens..Haaa..peaceful. I like. ;)

Taiping food. Cheap & delicious.. Thoughts of mee rebus, char kuey teow & satey which have been running in my head for the past 1 month plus is making me salivate more...Hahhaa..

Must take a trip back up to Maxwell hill..My hiking territory. Yeah!

For the 1st time, I’m blogging in the office. Hehehe…

So, urm..basically im very free today. Just got a sms frm bro, HE’S COMING TO KL..heheh yeah. I miss him although it’s only been 2 weeks.

Big sista mises her little brother. Hahaha.. Do bear with me that I’m expressing my love to my brother. It’s NOT menjijikkan at all… Ehem.Ehem..Family love ok?

We have a tight & close bondage no matter where we are. It’s either I call him or he calls me everyday. At times, people DO mistaken that I’m talking to my bf..Hahaha.. Everytime I heard that, it’s sounds so funny… then, I would inform them : “It’s my Brother ler..” & they would give me back the look of “you are lying lah…”

I can’t even imagine that I will be separated from him for a year. The time is coming…he’s going sailing soon…
